23 May ‘08 £145 Concern - Irish Aid Agency helping in the aftermath of
07 June ’08 £100 Down and Connor Apostolic Work Society - Supporting vital work on the missions.
06 August ’08 £ 200 Trocaire - Irish Aid Agency alleviating the food crisis in
23 August ’08 £ 250 Holy Family Parish -based charity.
I wouldn’t normally do this since I believe God sees our good works and it is therefore not necessary to stand on the street corners and shout about it. But in this case the money donated to these charities has mostly come from other people, and in publicising the details I am expressing my sincere thanks to all those whose generosity has boosted the proceeds beyond my expectations. Every book bought has led to a little alleviation somewhere else - it’s truly amazing how it mounts up. The next charity to benefit is here: China Little Flower
To make things easy, and less costly all round, the book is now available to order direct from me, at a cost of £12 each, incl; p&p, to any destination. You will find my email address in my profile, so please contact me and I will give you details as to where cheques can be sent. Alternatively, you can order through Lulu in the usual way - including download - by clicking on the link in the side bar. I have had very favourable feedback from many sources regarding the book, so please help me to help others - those who are suffering, those who are our brothers and sisters in Christ.

God be praised!!! Thank you for sharing this with us. It really is good to know this, Ann! I feel great knowing that my few dollars went to good causes. Thanks to you for all your good works!
Love,
Easter:-)
God bless you abundantly!
Easter, I'm really glad to read your comment - and especially glad of the first three words.
All day I've been asking myself whether I should put up the post or not, and your comment came at just the right moment to allay all the doubts. God be praised, God be praised, God be praised!!!
Amen, amen, and amen!
Listen -- we're still getting the better of the deal...you did all the work, we get all the pleasure of your exquisite work and encouragement, and then we can also know the money went where it's so desperately needed? Aw, that's not fair to you. But I know that's not what you were looking for.
:-) One more amen --to that wish that God shall bless YOU abundantly.
Thank you, Hush, for all your support, kindness and encouragement all along the way. You know what they say - what goes round, comes round. Blessings to you this day!

How beautiful that your words of hope and love inspired by God have brought so much to others in so many ways.
Following God's grace can accomplish so much as your wonderful book is a testimony of.
I'm just waiting for your second edition of poetry now!
Blessings and Love,
I'm smiling with joy about this!
Suzy

Thanks, Suzy - at this stage I've got about the first five pages done - long way to go yet! Your support was/is much appreciated.
What wonderful news, Ann. I'm sorry I haven't gotten around to ordering it yet, but I will do so as soon as I get back from the US (my brother is getting married on sept 20th)
It's great to see the numbers rising each month. That's a good sign!
You'll be up to your eyes no doubt,a September wedding - how lovely!
Thanks, Pia, I'm grateful for your support - as you say the rising figures are very encouraging.
I cannot tell you how excited I am about your next donation to China Little Flower. Shannon is home for a few short days and will be retuning to China soon...God love her and God love YOU!!! Cathy
Cathy, You were instrumental in all of this - don't overlook that fact!
It was while reading your blog - A bit of the blarney - I first heard about Shannon and the work she does. Thanks be to God!!
Something about the mostly short lives of these little orphans, and the tender care they receive while they are with us touched my heart and my soul.
All I could think about was angels.
Reading their names, the brief descriptions of their illnesses and disabilities and looking at their lovely little smiling faces is so moving.
I am honoured to know about this work, Cathy, and privileged to help in this way.
The money raised for all these worthy causes is very good news, as is the fact that you are working on another book!
Thanks, Gabrielle. I write all the time but not with a book in mind,at least not till Suzy mentioned it, though I suppose once the poems start to accumulate I probably will give thought to it.
Congratulations.
